Affiliated with many of the best hospitals in Texas
At MD Family Clinic, we’re not only experts at providing care — we’re also experts at coordinating care, even when you have to go outside our clinics. MD Family Clinic works closely with specialist doctors and hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Houston, and other Texas cities to make sure you get the right care, including the smooth transition of medical records and treatment plans once your hospital stay is over.
Are you expecting a baby? At the hospital, you can expect your newborn to receive care from a pediatrician or a pediatric hospitalist (a primary care physician who works exclusively in a hospital environment). Though we make rounds at many hospitals, this pediatric doctor may or may not work for us, based on the rules in place by the hospital where you deliver.
However, you can see any pediatric care provider you want after you leave the hospital — and seeing one employed by a hospital doesn’t guarantee you better care. We encourage new parents to choose a provider based on their level of care, the services they offer, their proximity to your home, and other personal factors.
You will need to schedule your first pediatric visit within 48 hours after you get home from the hospital — and MD Family Clinic makes it simple! No matter where you plan to deliver, we can coordinate your new baby’s care. Call 1-888-776-5252 to book your first appointment with us.
Hospital stays are often unexpected. But if and when they happen, your care team at MD Family Clinic works hard to make sure you get access to the specialty care you need and deserve — whether that means working with your insurance plan to get the hospital stay approved or finding local specialists in your community who can help.
Even when you receive care outside our clinics, your care team at MD Family Clinic is still by your side, collaborating with the hospital’s specialty care team to ensure that we get copies of all your medical records. We’ll also help transition your care back to the primary care environment as soon as your treatment is complete.
