Q&A with Faracesca

What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?

My favorite animated movie is Beauty and the Beast.

What is your favorite children's book?

The Very Hungry Caterpillar because it is the ultimate story of patience, growth, and beautiful transformation. There is a deep comfort in how it celebrates the simple joys of life—from the steady, grounding rhythm of the days of the week to the sheer indulgence of that legendary Saturday feast. It reminds us that times of heavy consumption, rest, and retreating into our own cocoons aren't just natural; they are exactly what we need to build our strength and eventually unfold our wings as something vibrant and completely renewed.

What was your favorite childhood toy?

My favorite childhood toys were Barbie dolls because I could make stories with them.

Who is your greatest inspiration?

My mom is my ultimate inspiration because she embodies a rare blend of fierce strength and unconditional warmth, showing me what it truly means to care for others without losing my own sense of self. Watching the way she navigates life's challenges with grace and resilience has served as my personal blueprint for facing the world.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

Walks in the park, baking, spending time with family and friends, exploring new places

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

What inspires me to work in pediatrics is the unique opportunity to support both children and their families during such foundational years of health and development. I am passionate about early intervention and preventative care, and I love the rewarding challenge of breaking down complex medical concepts so that parents feel empowered and patients feel safe. For me, pediatric care is about providing a steady, comforting presence during a child's developmental milestones and helping families navigate health challenges with confidence. There is a distinct fulfillment in contributing to a child’s long-term wellness and watching them thrive.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

What sets me apart is the unique perspective I bring from my background in adult care as an NP and in labor and delivery as a nurse, which makes communicating with parents second nature to me. I know how to address a caregiver's anxieties, explain things clearly, and treat them as true partners in their child's health. My approach is defined by careful listening, a strong commitment to up-to-date guidelines, and an open, collaborative attitude. I build a positive rapport by creating a warm, judgment-free environment where families feel entirely comfortable asking questions, ensuring they leave every visit feeling heard, respected, and confident in our plan.
