Family telemedicine

Telemedicine allows you to have a virtual video conference with an MD Family Clinic provider in place of visiting the clinic in person, based on certain qualifying conditions.

For family telemedicine, call 888-776-5252. A call center agent will assist you with setting up a telemedicine visit with one of our family medicine providers, Monday through Saturday from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., including holidays.

KidzDocNow is also available for pediatric patients 24/7/365 via the KidzDocNow app. Sign up for KidzDocNow by visiting www.kidzdocnow.us or downloading the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Established family medicine patients can also log into the patient portal to schedule a virtual visit or call your MD Family Clinic directly.

Family telemedicine visits are available between the hours of 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, including holidays. For pediatric patients, KidzDocNow is available 24/7/365 via the KidzDocNow app (see above).

Yes, we can treat many minor illnesses, injuries, and other health concerns virtually. We start by asking specific questions about your medical history, then use the video connection as a tool to observe your symptoms in real time. In many cases, this is enough to make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. Your online provider also has full access to your medical records and can prescribe medication(s).

If an in-person visit is needed for any reason, we will help you schedule one to ensure that you receive a comprehensive evaluation.

It’s best to conduct virtual visits in a private, quiet, and well-lit part of your home with a stable internet connection. Turn off any televisions and put pets in another room to minimize distractions. For safety and to ensure the highest level of care, please do not conduct the visit while in a moving vehicle.

You should prepare just like you would for an in-person visit, jotting down any questions or concerns ahead of time. We recommend logging in a few minutes early to resolve any technical issues. Please also have your medication list and any other pertinent information close by.

Yes, you’ll receive both a text message and an email confirming your appointment details. These reminders help ensure you have everything you need in advance, including the date, time, and instructions for joining the virtual visit.

Existing MD Family Clinic patients do not have to pay any fees up front. Your insurance company will be billed first, then you are responsible for any portion the insurance company does not cover. For self-pay patients, a telemedicine visit costs $59.
