What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
Any Disney/Pixar movie, and The Simpsons is my favorite cartoon.
What is your favorite children's book?
Dr. Seuss books are my favorite because they teach grammar, vocabulary and promote reading and comprehension at an early age.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Super NES, and the Playstation console series are my favorite toys even to this day.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My parents are my greatest inspiration because they have sacrificed everything for me and my brothers and sister so we can have successful careers to raise our families.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I like listening to music, playing music (guitar, bass, drums, and piano), playing sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball), and swimming .
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I enjoy practicing medicine! I mainly focus on adult medicine, but do enjoy treating younger patients as they are a constant reminder of optimum health and vitality. This motivates me to do my best in helping patients achieve their health goals.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I am a native Spanish speaker and this gives patients confidence to be understood and to express their needs without difficulties.
