During your child’s first two years of life, well visits happen quite frequently. At each visit, your MD Family Clinic provider performs a head-to-toe health check of your child, checking their developmental milestones and assessing their weight, feeding, sleeping, and voiding (stooling) habits. 

After age 3, well visits transition to once per year for most children — making them even more important. Well visits are one of the best tools we have for identifying and treating health concerns as early as possible. If your child is diagnosed with a chronic disease, we have the knowledge and resources to help your family manage it successfully.

As any seasoned parent will tell you, children often get sick or hurt unexpectedly. In addition to well visits, MD Family Clinic offers same-day sick visits and walk-in visits for minor illnesses and injuries. Can’t make it to the clinic? Pediatric patients can schedule virtual visits 24 hours a day.

Many schools, sports teams, and camps require an in-person physical exam to ensure that children can safely participate in activities. These physical exams focus on your child’s medical history, fitness level, and risk of injuries. Ask your MD Family Clinic provider to learn more.
