I try to embody these principals and actions into the way I provide care to my patients and their families
1. Emotional Commitment: It underscores the importance of emotional investment in patient care, emphasizing that genuine passion can lead to better patient outcomes and satisfaction.
2. Intensity and Passion: I think of words like “fierce” and “relentless,” which conveys a dedication that motivates both me and those around me to be inspiring and leads to mutual engagement in providing care.
3. Holistic Perspective: I focus on “holistic, patient-centered care” which reflects an understanding that health is multifaceted, allowing myself and others to address not just the symptoms but the overall well-being of our patients.
4. Community Advocacy: By demonstrating a commitment to “championing community strength” it indicates that care extends beyond the individual, fostering a healthier environment that benefits everyone.
4. Relationship Building: I strive to emphasize and develop a spirit of “forging unbreakable bonds” leading to trust and communication in which the caregiver-patient relationship, is open and transparent, that is crucial for effective diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
5. Collaboration and Team Support: Creating an inclusive environment by acknowledging and empowering all of the members of the team, creates a cohesive and focuses each of us to contribute to a shared goal of better patient care and professional growth within the field.
6. The unending pursuit of being a life long learner, to be equipped with the the tools, knowledge, and ability to provide care for my patient and to know when to seek consultation for care that is outside of my expertise.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
I try and put myself into my patients "shoes" to understand what their challenges might be and how I can better help meet their needs.
